Job Description

Nostrum Biodiscovery is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Human Resources to lead our HR department and support the company’s continued growth and international expansion. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing HR strategies, managing all personnel-related processes, and fostering a positive and innovative workplace aligned with our mission in the biotech sector. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and excellent communication skills.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and culture.
  • lead, mentor, and coordinate the HR team of the future, ensuring efficient operation of all HR processes.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development to support business growth.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management processes, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Design and implement training, professional development, and upskilling programs.
  • Support leadership in organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment aligned with Nostrum Biodiscovery’s values.
  • Prepare HR reports, KPIs, and analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • HR related paperwork and administrative tasks.
  • Other operational tasks related to training, traveling or purchasing.

  • Proficiency in HR software, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Fluency in English and Catalan and/or Spanish.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven experience in HR management or similar senior roles.
  • Solid knowledge of labour legislation, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Experience designing and implementing HR strategies, development plans, and organizational policies.
  • Previous experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or technology sector is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with growing or scaling companies and managing organizational change is a plus.

  • Contract duration: permanent.
  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
