Expanding our reach: Nostrum Biodiscovery in Boston and Japan

This autumn, Nostrum Biodiscovery took its drug discovery engine to two key markets: the United States and Japan.

Boston: Discovery on Target

At the end of September, our co-founder and CSO Víctor Guallar spoke at Discovery on Target in Boston. He presented our E3 ligase and molecular glue/degrader screening workflows, already experimentally validated with two leading biotech companies and built on our proprietary platforms:

  • PELE®, our protein-ligand simulation platform, with GluePELE and PELETAC for molecular glues and PROTACs
  • TPD-Suite® for targeted protein degradation

Víctor was joined by our Boston-based business development team, who met with partners working on challenging targets.

Japan: Osaka, Shonan iPark and BioJapan

In early October, our General Manager Marie-Eve Beaulieu joined the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation in Osaka, meeting established pharma companies and early-stage projects, and then presented our poster at Shonan Health Innovation Park (Shonan iPark).

The message: Nostrum Biodiscovery is a drug discovery engine. We are a computational drug discovery technology developer, and we solve drug design problems on proprietary platforms we build ourselves:

  • Target evaluation: our YGGDRASIL knowledge graph integrates biological, genetic, structural and chemical evidence to prioritize targets and de-risk decisions early
  • Hit finding and lead optimization: PELE® and our AI tools, plus dedicated platforms for new modalities: XNAHub®, ChaRNABERT, TPD-Suite®, GluePELE and PELETAC

The trip continued at BioJapan (7-9 October, Yokohama). Thank you to the EU-Japan Centre for the organization and the connections. Follow-ups are already underway.
