Our Head of Protein Engineering presenting at the Green Innovation Forum 2024 in Pamplona

Meet our Head of Protein Engineering,  Sergi Roda, who will present our solutions for scalable PET degrading enzymes in his pitch presentation :”Leveraging computational protein design to tackle polymer biodegradation”.

A word from Sergi :

“Organized by AseBio, the Spanish Bioindustry Association, and Government of Navarra, the 5th edition of the AseBio Green Innovation Forum showcases the opportunities that biotechnology can offer as a key tool in the transition towards a more sustainable, carbon neutral and greener economic model.

The accumulation of plastic waste is a pressing challenge society is facing. A lot of current efforts involve identifying and engineering enzymes able to recycle these materials, enabling a circular economy. However, many current solutions still face issues with their implementation in real-case scenarios and their scale-up. At Nostrum Biodiscovery, we are tackling this challenge with PET degrading enzymes technology that can be scaled-up easily. More on that during our pitch presentations.

Join us to discover and learn in detail how biotechnology provides solutions to all these challenges. Connect with industry, academia, investors, and the public sector through the partnering platform .”
